The Town Council of Xàbia pays
homage to soccer player Gema
Soliveres after being champion of
Spain under 18s with the Valen-
cian football team
The 17-year-old girl was accom-
panied by her family, friends and
sports fans who filled the plenary
hall to share this simple homage.
Mayor, José Chulvi, and the
Sports Councilor, Vicent Colomer,
highlighted that Gema is a model
of “talent, perseverance and ef-
fort” for the young people of the
town. In fact, the plaque they gave
the footballer as a reminder of
this institutional congratulation
and the appreciation and admira-
tion of the people, notes that this
example “is inspiring for all of us
and marks us a path of work and
perseverance”.

Soliveres Cholbi is part of that spe-
cial list of people who have taken
the name of Xàbia throughout the
world and made us very proud.”
