It is a plan that guarantees the
conservation of our town and
at the same time allows local
companies to continue working
in a sustainable manner.
To approve this plan, we have
also taken into account the opinion
of our residents by studying their
views, and meeting with property
owners, etc.
In addition, although they
may not be particularly visible
or spectacular, we have carried
out a large number of public
works which we like to call “Small
Urbanism”; works that make daily
life easier and more pleasant for
everyone, and which makes living
in Xàbia continue to be such a
pleasure.
For example, all the new
asphalted roads in the three urban
centres and in the urbanizations,
the repair of pavements, streetlight
improvements, cleaning, repair
of streets and avenues ... to this
list will shortly be added the
reconstruction of the Triana
bridge to improve safety on this
important link between the Port,
Montañar and the Arenal.
But without any doubt, the most
important thing which we have
achieved is for yet another year,
to remain united as a community
and to demonstrate that the best
heritage of Xàbia is its people. In
2017 we had to suffer together and
face serious personal tragedies
such as the accident that cost the
lives of three residents of this town
and seriously injured two others.
