Montgo
Restoration
Resumes
The municipal department of
Environment and Services has
resumed the work of environmental
restoration in the Montgo area that
burned in September 2014 and
which has been restored, since then,
in several phases both to erase the
footprints of fire and to achieve
growth that will become a forest more
resistant to fires.
The last of the interventions is in the
path that descends from the Cap de
Sant Antoni to the Tangó and the port
and the nearby ravine, an area that
is very frequented by walkers which
makes it more complicated to work.
During this work, some of the burned
pines left in the area of the ravine are
being removed and cut, tasks that the
City of Xàbia matches the recovery
of the landscape and forestry in
Granadella.
