This will damage our quality of life,
the landscape, fishing and obviously
tourism. With our commitment
and determination not to let this
happen, we have joined forces with
other Mediterranean towns to put a
stop to these occurrences.
In the case of Xàbia, together with
the Ministry of Environment and
the government of the Generalitat
Valenciana, presided by Ximo Puig,
we are working to develop standards
that will protect our coastline. I
hope to be able to tell you very soon
about the progress in this area.
Also, on the 26th & 27th of October,
we will celebrate the Mediterranean
Xàbia
Fòrum
de
Destinos
Sostenibles,
an
international
meeting with an excellent range
of speakers, so that all together
(politicians,
business
people,
scientists, sailors, residents, etc.)
will implement a more sustainable
management of our area and our
economy.
