Exhibits & demonstrations at Sunday's event invited visitors to get involve in all aspects of stage craft – make-up, sound, lighting, singing, acting, even play writing. The Javea Players now have our own playwright in residence, the award winning Phil Mansell. His play, Poor Yorick will be the Javea Players' Summer Show next year. As those who had a chat with Phil last Sunday discovered, he is always keen to encourage and help budding playwrights. If I have judged visitors' reactions correctly, they very much enjoyed their visit behind the scenes and one was left in no doubt that the Javea Players hugely enjoyed their company.
