It is a further step in our goal of
making Xàbia more sustainable,
friendlier and safer. At the same
time, this is compatible with
the good progress of tourist
businesses.
In terms of safety and
sustainability, I am convinced
that
good
communication,
information and awareness, are
the best ways to achieve our goals.
For this reason, a brochure
highlighting good practices at
sea has been published by the
Department of Tourism.
Every summer there are
thousands of boats that anchor in
our bays and a small gesture like
not lowering anchors onto the
seagrass meadows, can make a
big difference.
We have also distributed a list
of recommendations in various
languages on how to prevent
fires and how to act in case of an
emergency.
