The Beaches
are ready for
the Summer
Directed by Kika Mata, work
has been done to improve and
maintain the various beaches
in Xàbia. Different gravels were
spread on beaches such as Duanes
and Montañar and work has been
carried out to level the land with
heavy machinery. A small cove
has been restored in front of the
Paseo de Marina Española, which
was damaged by the storms over
winter. Accessibility has also
been improved at the end of the
Grava beach, which overlooks
the the Port where piles of earth
and stone were located. The
project is part of improvements
being made to the Xàbia coast,
which is increasing the number of
anchorage points and improving
the beaches for recreational and
professional use, as well as canoe
and paddle channels. It is hoped
that these measure will add to
the sustainable and eco-friendly
tourism that is already in Jávea.
