Blue Flags and
Red Cross
The beaches of Arenal, Grava
and Granadella have, again won
the blue flag of the European
Foundation for Environmental
Education.
Red Cross opens a double
stand at the Arenal for the bather
(Rescues and Health) and will
support rescues with a new group
of volunteers. With the first days
of high temperatures, the bathing
season begins and Xàbia pays
attention to its bathers, both in
the monitoring service and in
the beacons. It has done so by
taking advantage of the three blue
flags awarded by the European
Foundation for Environmental
Education another year certifying
the quality and services at playas
Grava, Granadella and Arenal.
The Red Cross’s double stand
focuses on surveillance, rescue
and health care. It will be equipped
with two stretchers and two boxes.
From 1 July, in addition to Grava
and Granedella there will be
monitoring points of Barraca and
Benissero - check times.
