It is always a pleasure to address
you, taking advantage of the
platform that the Grapevine
generously offers me.
Throughout May we launched
an important initiative to make
Xàbia a safer place in the event
of forest fires: I am referring to
the informative talks that the
company Medi XXI and the police
and firefighters have given in the
urbanisations. In the event of
an emergency, this information
could make the difference between
being safe or putting our lives and
possessions at risk.
These meetings are only the first
part of the fire prevention plan.
At the same time, we are working
to increase security perimeters
in urban areas, clean up the
mountain and public plots and
study systems for natural barriers
and water against fire, at strategic
points.
