On the one hand the Balcon al Mar
Volunteer Fire Brigade showed us
once more its immense worth and
generosity, fighting the flames
from the very first moment. Their
participation resulted in limiting
the scale of the tragedy and
preventing us from experiencing
something even much worse.
To all of them, as well as the people
who support their service with
donations, I thank you as mayor
of Xàbia and as a resident of this
town. I can assure you we will not
forget either their actions or their
wonderful attitude.
