Xàbia City Council is requesting a grant fromAlicante to rebuild the bridge at the mouth of Gorgos
In the request , Planning Commission , Works and Services has included the rehabilitation project of the bridge over Gorgos river in the Mediterranean Avenue ( known as Triana bridge ) A total of 312,030 euros a grant is being requested , representing 55 % of the project cost , priced to go out to tender for 567,382 euros .
The work , which will demolish the existing bridge at the mouth of the river ( which suffered structural damage in the flood of 2007 that makes it unsafe for heavy vehicles ) and redo it again with greater amplitude ( widening it from 12 to 15 metres ), will have a lead time of about 19 weeks .
