5 . The competition will take place on August 28 , 2016 in Xabia Port , from 9.00 am to 2 pm .
Check-in for registrants will be from 9.00 am to 10.00 am in the fish market ( in the port ).
6 . The paintings will be exhibited in the Soler Blasco Museum , 1 Plaça dels Germans Segarra in Xàbia from September 17 to October 16 .
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on September 17 , 2016 ( 8.00 pm ) during the opening of the exhibition .
7 . For the adult category , a First Prize of € 600 and a Second Prize of € 200 will be awarded .
There will also be a Local Prize and a Regional Prize of € 200 each for residents of Xabia and the Marina Alta respectively who have not won the First or Second Prize .
For the under 15 category , two sets of school materials will be awarded .
8 . The artworks may be collected from the Soler Blasco Museum when the exhibition ends , except for the work by the winner of the First Prize , which will become the property of the Association .
9 . The jury will be selected by the Association , and their decision may not be appealed .

About José Lledó
José Lledó ( 1944-2006 ), agronomist and painter , produced in Jávea most of his artwork , consisting in particular of landscapes and paintings of typical old buildings .
A member of L ’ Associació de Barques Tradicionals de Xàbia ( the Association of Traditional Sailing Boats of Jávea ), he organised the first Quick Paint Competition in Xàbia , which was held in 2005 .
On his death the following spring , the Association decided to honour him by giving his name to the competition that he had launched .
The competition is now a yearly event , subsidized by the Association and by the Committee of the Fiestas of Our Lady of Loreto , with the collaboration of the Town Council . It awards various prizes , among them one for local artists and another for artists from the region , in order to encourage participants from these different places .
