HAS RETURNED TO BEING VERY GOOD
INDEED #
Bar/Restaurante LAS OLAS : (on the Cabo
de la Nao road, on the right, half way between
CAIXA BANK (formerly Barclays) & the
Ferreteria PLA48). Frequent recent visits have
shown that the troubles are over and reports
have been regularly very good again.... a visitor
reported a superb Osso Bucco ....(a new chef,
perhaps ?). The mass of cars parked outside
tells us something ! Comments welcome,
please.

MUZAK at Trip Advisor : Post a note about a
muzak-free or muzak-fouled restaurant on Trip
Advisor.
With the holiday season now starting, many
people will glance at Trip Advisor to check
up on an hotel or restaurant. If you have
recently visited a place free of piped music –
or conversely one polluted to the rafters with
it – say so clearly and prominently on Trip
Advisor. If enough people praise a place
for not having piped music, or conversely
criticise it for having it, this should encourage
the managers concerned to go or to remain
muzak-free. All power to the customer! Click

SPAIN's BEST BEER
‘After putting 31 of Spain’s beers
to
the
test,
the
country’s
OCU
consumer watchdog has decided that the El
Corte Inglés department store’s Hipercor
brand lager offers the best value among classic
beers, while Ambar and Estrella Galicia come
top in the speciality range. he OCU says
that Hipercor’s 33cc tin is not only "tastier"
than
its
better-known
rivals,
such
as
Mahou
and
Heineken,
but
that at €0.36 cents a can, it’s significantly
cheaper...’. The best beers to drink during
summer's tournaments

Situate on the Tarraula roundabout at the
end of Camí Cabanes and the beginning
of the Benitachell/Golf Club road, BonAmb
offers a sophisticated and comfortable interior
and beautifully laid out gardens and terraces
and, it must be said, the finest cuisine in Jávea.
Opened in July 2011 it has since been rewarded
with one Michelin star and, in November 2014,
2 "suns" of the Spanish counterpart - the Guía
Repsol. Clearly recognised professionals.
This establishment has put Jávea firmly “on
the gastro-map” completing the triangle of
world-class restaurants formed by Quique
Dacosta (Denia) and Casa Pepa (Ondara).
Reports, especially from serious gastronauts,
are consistently full of praise. Their wine cellar
has over 400 entries from all over Spain,
including the most prestigious ones. Let the
sommelier advise you which wine is best to
accompany your meal selection. Booking
strongly recommended. Guests can either
eat ‘à la carte’ or choose from one of 3 menus
