Xàbia has 12 new
local police officers for
the summer campaign
.
The Councillor for Security, Pepa Gisbert, announced that, until
mid-September these newly recruited policemen, will strengthen the
surveillance tasks on the beaches and in the sea in coordination with
the Red Cross and UCE (Unit for Special Tasks). In the inauguration,
José Chulvi, the Mayor of Javea, reminded newcomers that their
mission “is to make both neighbors and visitors feel safe, informed
and cared for. They offer proximity and confidence, especially in
a period when the town’s population multiplies.”
