DIVINO OPEN DAY AT “LA FINCA”, BENIARBEIG, THURSDAY 21ST JULY IN AID OF The Franciscan Shelter for Men at Palma de Gandia 21 July at 10:30–16:30 “LA FINCA”, BENIARBEIG Fabulous cards, gifts, candles and the fantastic range of “Frenchic” chalk paint, solvent free and completely harmless to the environment. Sarah Mears wonderful collection of jewellery and bags and Marilyn with her gorgeous handmade accessories. ♥ We also have a selection of Brand New baby clothes and some gorgeous, new and barely worn designer clothing. ♥ Rosie Woodham and Sue Faulkner (Lenceria Susan in Javea), along with friends and various charities are looking to raise enough money to install an air conditioning unit at The Franciscan Hospice at Palma de Gandia which provides a home and nursing care for around 65 men, many of whom suffer from mental or physical illness. Some are terminally ill. These men would otherwise be on the streets and unlikely to survive without this special care. Three Franciscan Brothers, (Hermano Guillermo, Hermano Pepe and Hermano Martin) assisted by local volunteers, care for the residents around the clock. Their income is solely through donations. We have had a quote of 4,000 euros which includes a new larger and more economic unit, fitting and installation. Obviously the heat is arriving quickly here so we need this as soon as we can. All proceeds from the cakes and refreshments will be donated to the homeless men´s shelter in Gandia, (“Franciscan Shelter for Men at Palma de Gandia)”. They are in desparate need of a new air-conditioning unit, so we are working together with lots of different charities to help us try and raise the necessary funds. They also urgently require the list of items below, so if you are able to bring just one item from the list, however small, it will be gratefully received. THANK YOU! ♥ Male deodorant, spray preferred. Razors, good quality so the skin does not pull and tear, I know many of the men need to be shaved due to incapacity and it is even more important to have a good razor for this. Large rolls of Kitchen Paper Towel. Paper serviettes. Incontinence pads. Surplus medications and drugs. 100 litre bin bags.
