Street Shows As part of the desire of the Culture Department to regulate Street Performances, July sees the start of Three “shifts” of Performing groups scheduled for late nights in both the Arenal and La Grava. Until July 10 it will be “Marionautas” - musical numbers with different techniques and puppets; guitarist Marco Romero and Vera & Manouche tandem presenting the show “Women First”, a play-Concert-Cabaret. From 11 to 17 July comes the “Circus Mambo”, a show of juggling balls to the rhythm of tropical music and “Circus Recycling” a show for the whole family where artists teach a vocabulary of circus and juggling what the recycling to children. From 18 to 24 July the schedule changes to “Arritmados” with the show “Love Pass out” that mixes music and circus and “Jaciento Siphon Fontana” with their performances. Finally, from 25 to 31 July act “Citrus” with balances, voice and ukulele music and “Feu Rouge Igor” a trivia game show, improvisation and a lot of audience participation. In August, the programme will continue with weekly shift changes and artists performing in public spaces. No admission is charged but the artists pass the hat around the audience at the end of each show.The first performance was Friday night in the Paseo del Arenal and had a great reception from the public.
