Update
The consultative committees on
Tourism and Economy were formally merged at the last plenary council
meeting. The Committee will advise
on tourism, economic policy, promoting business and diversifying the
economy. It will promote the coordination of tourism development in different sectors, analyze tourism problems and contribute to the protection
of natural resources and socio-cultural values of Javea. From :La Marina

The Municipal Council of Economic Development and Tourism is also
responsible for marking the general
strategic guidelines and criteria for
action, debate and agree on scheduling campaigns or annual performance
in economic and tourist promotion
or approve the Local Action Plan on
economic and tourism.
