The Xàbia Folk Season arrives with
a first concert, as a musical appetiser,

The performance, on Friday April
22 at 21:30 hours in the Casa Cultura, is free and serve as a backdrop
for Councilman for Cuklture, Quico Moragues, previewing this year's
festival (6 to May 8), which moves
to riurau d'Arnauda and in addition to
front-line performers will be include
popular cultural activities.
Moragues has encouraged all fans of
folk and roots music to enjoy the performance of Bergia and Olavida, who will present "Singing Poets from a Time Apart" A repertoire
set for psaltery (a medieval plucked
string instrument that is still preserved in the traditional music of the
Pyrenees), guitar and vocals featuring
songs with original music by the two
musicians and texts of great Spanish poets such as Gonzalo de Berceo,
Quevedo, Calderon de la Barca, Antonio Machado and Luis Cernuda.
