My Dream

If I could have a dream come true,
just one long joyous day,
I'd ask God for time with my
children, just to hear them laugh
and play.
They would be young once more,
and we'd have so much to do,
We'd do some things we always did,
and try some new things too.
There would be cookies, hugs and
kisses, and laughter all day long,
Skip rope, dances and building
things, and singing a favorite song.
But I'd have to pick a time, a date; a
special year to actually replay,
And choose between building
snowmen and gathering lilacs in
May.
