and Octopus are the stars in the

them hiding behind a pretty present,

digger, a sailing boat and a holey
yellow cheese.
Each colour is illustrated by between
3 to 4 real world objects and
animals, which help to drive home
the concept of the colour. So, little
ones see the colour 'yellow' for
instance illustrated by a yellow
banana, yellow duckling, yellow
truck and yellow sonflower.
It’s an effective book on many
different levels.
Be warned though, the strawberries
in the book look so real, you may
need to buy some before you read
the book with your toddler!
Your little one will learn new words
and strengthen his existing
vocabulary as the book progresses.
