INSPIRATIONAL
Diane started her
writing career
while she was still
young, when she
asked for a
typewriter for
Christmas.
She pounded the
keys writing
poetry and short
stories during her
school years on an
old black Royal
manual.
Today, she is the
author of four
books, and over
three-hundred
short stories.
Here she talks
about how her
plots are formed,
and the craft of
writing a romantic
novel.
How are your plots formed?
They’re thoughts that develop like a
short story, only I go further with
them. I am a fly-by the pants
writer…and I don’t do a lot of
plotting.
I keep notes about names and ages
of the characters, and do a lot of
research in all my books. Thoughts,
ideas come as I write and I fly with
them.
