NOT WITHSTANDING, we must
understand by God’s grace that each
season will pass and receive power
not only to enjoy the blessings of
each season but also to overcome
the challenges.
Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians
4:11-13, “Not that I speak in regard
to need, for I have learned in
whatever state I am, to be content: I
know how to be abased, and I know
how to abound. Everywhere and in
all things I have learned both to be
full and to be hungry, both to abound
and to suffer need. I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me.
Consider also James 5:11, “Indeed
we count them blessed who endure.
You have heard of the perseverance
of Job and seen the end intended by
the Lord—that the Lord is very
compassionate and merciful”.
I was intrigued to note the focus on
the END of Job’s life. It reminded us
to note the end intended by the Lord
and how this demonstrated the
compassion and mercy of God in His
dealings with us.
I believe there are 4 things we need
to do continually if we want to
escape the temptation/snare of
doubt and discouragement and avoid
compounding the situation we may
be facing by speaking negative words
because of the state of our heart and
emotions:
Continually call upon the Lord for
help. “And call on Me in the day of
trouble; I will deliver you, and you
shall honour and glorify Me.” Psalm
50:15

Job’s life. It reminded us

Remember the promises and
prophecies of God and stand
focused.
“And I looked, and arose and said to
the nobles, to the leaders, and to the
rest of the people, “Do not be afraid
of them. Remember the LORD, great
and awesome, and fight for your
brethren, your sons, your daughters,
your wives, and your houses.”
