WOMEN ONLY Hounslow Women's Bike Club Calling all ladies. Get on your bike and get active in Hounslow in 2016. Our brand new women-only cycle club is a supportive, social and fun environment. We meet every Wednesday evening and every other Saturday morning. NEW Our friendly and experienced instructors are on hand to help develop your cycling skills, confidence and fitness - regardless of ability. To find your nearest park, or to see what classes are on offer, visit the website www.ourparks.org.uk NEW HEALTH & WELLBEING Hounslow Health Trainer Service Exercise on Referral Tailored one to one health lifestyle and brief intervention support and motivation to individuals aged 18 and over, who live or are registered with a Hounslow borough GP. The Hounslow Health Trainer Service helps individuals become more physically active, adopt healthier diets, manage their weight, monitor alcohol levels, improve emotional wellbeing and quit smoking. Health Trainers are available to meet clients at various venues within the borough. Open to those with: a BMI greater than 30, diabetes, Heart Disease, MS and/or those with a long term health condition, this 10 week supervised course (with a further 8 weeks unsupervised) is designed to empower and motivate participants in making informed choices in order to improve their health and wellbeing. Hounslow IAPT Service: 6 week Stress Control Workshop If you’re feeling stressed; would like to learn some great ways to control common problems, such as: anxiety, poor sleep and burnout, our Stress Control workshop is available to help you better understand stress and learn strategies to help better manage your difficulties. The workshop will include the following topics: • Information about stress • Taking control of your body • Taking control of your thoughts • Taking control of your actions The course is free for to adults who are registered with a Hounslow GP. Sessions take place at the Paul Robeson Theatre, Hounslow on Tuesday evenings, 18:00 – 19:30, in a lecture style format. Simply sit back, relax and listen.
