2017 WAQHA C & L Constructions State Championships

WAQHA Committee and State Show Helpers
The 2017 WAQHA C & L Constructions State Championships was held over two weekends in November . The 12th of November saw the WAQHA holding a Junior and Senior Horse Cutting event in conjunction with the Coolup Cutting Club . It was great to be able to hold these events and showcasing the Cutting at our State Championships . Congratulations to Bianca Donald riding TMQ Armani for winning the Junior Horse and to Brian Cramp riding Got The Laredo Blues for winning the Senior Horse event . A massive thankyou to our judge Ricky Glen and the Coolup Cutting Club for incorporating the State Show events .
The 17th of November started off with the Non-Traditional English events , sponsored by the AQHA Non-Traditional division . Many thanks to EFA Judge , Lisa Baker for your professional and encouraging judging and Roxanne Balchin for your expertise in penciling the Non- Traditional events . Congratulations to Asha Morris riding Prediction who took out the Non-Traditional High Point buckle – second year running ! one pm saw the Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Eq events underway . Our judge for the rest of the show was Mark Sheridan from the USA .
The All Age Hunter Under Saddle feature was sponsored by Di Candilo
Steel City . The winner for this feature was Pure Iron ridden and owned by Leanne Walmsley , and Reserve went to My Certain Valentine , ridden by Kayla Rainoldi , owned by Rebecca Zito . Congratulations to all place getters in the HUS and HSE classes .
Friday night saw the Western Pleasure Features held . A massive thankyou to Karragullen Cool Storage , JSB Fencing and Machine Hire and Di Candilo Steel City for sponsoring these events .
The $ 4,000 Karragullen Cool Storage Open Feature was won by MTC Smooched shown by Brian Cramp , owned by Carolyn Johnson , I ’ m Pawsitively Surely Good ridden by Karen Cornish taking out Reserve Champion with this duo also going on to win the All Age DiCandilo Steel City Amateur Feature . The All Age JSB Fencing Youth Feature was won by Littlestone CertainlyCute ridden and owned by Devyn Naef and Inscription ridden by Charlotte Maney in Reserve place .
Saturday the 18th was the official opening of the State Championships . Saturday held all the in-hand events . The Yearling Halter Feature was won by SWP Shez a Country Breeze shown and owned by Kristy Reynolds , with Reserve going to Thomas the Smooch Engine , owned by the Di Candilo family and shown by Kayla Rainoldi . The 2yrs & Over Halter Futurity was won by JPQ Shez So Subtle , shown by Brian Cramp and owned by Kristy Reynolds , Reserve going to Im Pawsitivley Surely Good owned and shown by Karen Cornish .
The 2017 Champion Colt / Stallion was awarded to Best I Get An Invite , owned and shown by Brian Cramp . Reserve went to Spinboonafex owned by Shamara Marshall and shown by her sister , Billi Marshall . The 2017 Champion Gelding went to Winderadeen Gay Bar Micky , owned and shown by Paula Balgera with Reserve going to My Certain Valentine owned and shown by Rebecca Zito . The 2017 Champion Mare / Filly went to JPQ Shez So Subtle , owned by Kristy Reynolds and shown by Brian Cramp with Reserve going to Audacious Angel , owned by Melanie Knight and shown by Vanessa Hancox .
After the conclusion of the Halter events , the All Age Hunter in Hand was next on with 16 entrants . Congratulations to My Certain Valentine shown by Kayla Ranioldi and owned by Rebecca Zito and Littlestone Look Im Lazy shown by Carly Ganzer and owned by Melissa Deutscher for their Champion & Reserve Champion titles . After a short break , we moved onto the
