Where do
you live and how
big is your property (description)?
I live in Beaudesert, Qld on 80 acres.
Marital status:
I’m not married, but have a partner
in crime who looks after the place
while I go Campdrafting. No children
of my own, but I do take in some
strays from time to time.
Is the rest of your family involved
in the horse industry?
My family is very involved in the
horse and cattle industry. My sister
Jess is a horse and Campdraft
enthusiast like myself. My parents
owned a cattle property in the
Charters Towers area, and that’s
where I grew up and gained my
experience in the cattle and horse
industry.
When did you commence riding and
what was your first horse?
I’ve been riding horses for as long
as I can remember. My first horse
was a bay mare called Snippy, but
before that I used to get led on dad’s
contract mustering horses.
What disciplines did you ride
throughout your life and what is
your favourite discipline now?
Until I was about 12 years old I just
helped on the property mustering
etc. I competed at my first Campdraft
when I was 12 years old, and have
been hooked ever since. I have done
other horse related sports such as
Barrel Racing, sporting, Snaffle Bit
Cutting and I tried a little Roping, but
Campdrafting is the one I love.
How did you get into your favourite
discipline?
Our local town held a Campdraft
event and we went into that to
see how we’d go. We had a very
successful weekend there and that’s
when the whole Campdraft fad
started.
Do you train horses for outside
clients?
I have made a career out of training
and campaigning horses for clients.
Please name some of the top horses
you have ridden in your career.
I’ve been very blessed with the
horses I have
ridden and been
able to train
over the past 10
to 12 years. It’s
extremely hard to
name them all, but
I will attempt to
name a few.
The best horse I’ve
ever sat on would have
to be a grey mare I rode
when I was a Juvenile
called Silver Gold. Some of
the most recent horses are
Pussy Skills, Smartys High Card,
Whos Top Cat, Chances Cello Chick,
Oak So Smart, A Pink Panther, QXH
Electric Oak, QXH Dual n Rooster,
Seligmans Ellie, Seligmans Yellow
Miss, Possum Sue, Pistol Packin Lena
and Brown Highwayman.
What is your favourite horse?
I have two favourite horses of all
time - Silver Gold and Pussy Skills

I own approximately 40 horses, but
