Tomorrow

May Be Too Late

W . E . BIEDERWOLF
“ And he said , To morrow .”— Exod . 8:10 .
Two hundred years before these words were spoken , Jacob had gone with his family down into Egypt to escape the famine up in Palestine . During this time they had become a great race of people , but they were slaves toiling under the burning rays of Egypt ’ s sun . God sent Moses down to Pharaoh to say to him that Jehovah , the God of the Hebrews , wanted him to let the people of Israel go .
Pharaoh asked , ‘ Who is the God called Jehovah ? Who is the God of the Hebrews , that I should obey His voice and release my slaves ? I know Ra , the hawk-headed god ; I know Amun , the frog-faced god ; I know Isis and I know Apis , the sacred bull ; but who is Jehovah that I should hearken unto Him ? These people are my slaves and I will not let them go .’

very good special music in both services .
Brother Ross has me booked for Sunday , December 12 , 2021 . If you live in the area , I hope to see you there .
After the evening service I headed south and made the five-hour drive to Murfreesboro . When I arrived home I thanked the Lord for safe travel and for a blessed day at Blessed Hope Baptist Church .
The Abortion Holocaust Continues
In 1973 three major events hap - pened on January 22 . Former President Lyndon Johnston died and the Supreme Court issued two decisions that opened the flood - gates on abortion . In the Roe v . Wade decision , the liberal Court by a 7-2 vote effectively legalized abortion on a national scale . The Doe v . Dalton 7-2 decision made pos sible the obtaining of an abor - tion anytime during a pregnancy if necessary to protect the mother ’ s health .
Now here we are 47 years and 63 million abortions later . That ’ s 63 million little unborn babies whose lives were snuffed out before they ever saw the light of day .
That 1973 Supreme Court , domi - nated by liberal justices , played off the Constitution ’ s “ right to privacy ” and on that basis alone proclaimed the constitutionality of abortion . But as Justice Antonio Scalia later noted , “ There is no constitutional right for abortion in the Consti tution .”
The pro-death abortion crowd who advocate for “ choice ” are demanding the privilege to make a “ choice ” to end someone else ’ s life . They refer to the unborn baby as a fetus and pretend that prior to birth it is not a life . The fact is , if it were not a life , they would not be trying to exterminate it .
They are grossly hypocritical in their parsing of words and in their rabid plotting to get their way .
Some of them are now openly
Problems You Can ’ t Handle
God said to Moses , ‘ Stretch out your rod over the river and over the ponds .’ Moses stretched out his rod as God commanded and frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt .
Now a frog is not such a bad sort of thing in its own way ; but when it gets in your way , it is altogether another matter . If the frog were content to croak away in the frog pond , it might be endured ; but when it comes uninvited into your home , gets onto your chair just as you are going to sit down , hops into bed with you , gets into the oven and is baked up in the bread , it becomes quite an unwelcome visitor .
Tomorrow Is Not the Same as Today
Pharaoh called for Moses and said , ‘ Entreat the Lord to take these
advocating infanticide ( the killing of born babies ) and euthanasia ( the killing of patients whose quality of life is severely diminished ).
In the past few years a number of states have passed pro-life laws which limit the practice . As a result the number of abortions has significantly decreased , but the numbers are still in the hundreds of thousands .
There simply is no legitimate rationale which can justify this ab - solutely murderous , totally barbaric , senseless destruction of the in - nocent unborn .
In 2021 let ’ s keep raising the issue ! Let ’ s use our influence . Let ’ s vote pro-life ! Let ’ s not forget about the babies .
It is truly an American holocaust . It should be halted and it can be if the current Supreme Court will step up and do what ’ s right . Whether or not they will remains to be seen , but it is way past time for them to do it .
Madisonville , Kentucky , Maranatha Baptist Church
Early on the Sunday before Christmas , I left Murfreesboro and drove the 140 miles to Madison - ville , Kentucky . Over the last 12 years I preached here at Maranatha Baptist Church three other times . The first two times were for Pastor Van Williams , who retired from the pastorate and is now the song leader . My third visit and this one today were at the invitation of Pastor Chris Whitmer .
Maranatha Baptist Church is at 1111 West Broadway , just five minutes from downtown Madison - ville ( pop u lation approximately 20,000 ). Although their location is not on a busy thoroughfare , it is quite close to everything . Their buildings are very nice and well kept .
If you live anywhere in Madi - sonville or Hopkins County and you would like a solid , traditional Baptist church , you should go visit Pastor Whitmer and the Maranatha Baptist Church family .
I taught the auditorium Bible class and then preached the 11:00 a . m . morning service . The folks were

Moses inquired , ‘ When ? When shall I ask God for this thing and when will you do the thing God wants you to do ?’
And strange to say , Pharaoh said , “ To morrow .”

gracious to me and received warmly what I gave them .
After the service I asked Brother Whitmer for a raincheck on lunch and made the return trip to Mur - freesboro .
Marlon ’ s family was providing special music all day at Bellwood and I was glad to get back in time for the 5:00 p . m . service .
Although my trip to Madison - ville was a quick one , I was blessed to preach for them and enjoyed the fellowship there .

Eighty-Eight Percent of Colleges , Universities Restrict Free Speech in Some Form
A new study from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has found that 88 percent of American universities restrict free speech in some form .
FIRE ’ s 2021 Spotlight on Speech Codes looked at the free speech policies of 478 colleges and universities , 372 public institutions and 100 private colleges and universities . Based on a school ’ s written policies on free speech , it was assigned into one of four categories : red light , yellow light , green light , or warning . Factors examined when compiling the ratings included a university ’ s policies on “ free speech zones ,” hate speech , internet usage , tolerance , respect and civility , harassment , obscenity and security fees .
A red light institution maintains “ at least one policy both clearly and substantially restricting freedom of speech or bars public access to the speech-related policies by requiring a university password and login for access .” The Ivy League universities of Princeton and Harvard as well as other notable private colleges such as the University of Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins University were among the 21.3 percent of higher education institutions that received red light ratings .
… Sixty-five point three percent of colleges and universities reviewed by FIRE … were given yellow light ratings .
… One point seven percent of schools [ were ] assigned warning labels .
Colleges and universities awarded green light ratings have policies that “ do not seriously threaten campus expression .”… 11.7 percent of those examined [ were awarded green light ratings ].

Warning : “ Clarifying ” Education Law Would Crush Christian Schools
A homosexual-rights lobbying group is proving elections have consequences , including for private Christian colleges and universities which could face closure if a Biden administration bows to an antireligious legal scheme .
The ominously named “ Blueprint for Positive Change 2020 ,” written by the Human Rights Campaign , calls for the U . S . Department of Education to deny accreditation to faith-based colleges and universities if they “ discriminate or do not meet science-based curricula standards .”
Such legal-sounding language is eyebrow-raising for many Christian conservatives who have witnessed homosexual activists win numerous legal battles over what “ discrimination ” means in a courtroom . To date , numerous Christian business owners have been on the losing end of that legal and moral fight ; and the HRC document suggests Christian schools are next .
HRC , with its staff of attorneys , apparently sees a legal opportunity to use the 1960s era Higher Education Opportunity Act to punish Christian schools that have not embraced homosexual rights on their campuses . The federal law currently includes a provision to “ respect the stated mission ” of religious schools , but that allowance … is not conflicting with LGBT groups that are attacking orthodox beliefs about human sexuality and marriage in the name of twenty-first-century progress .

EDITOR ’ S COMMENTS : While this “ clarification ” is aimed at the colleges with accreditation , the ones without accreditation should know the way this crowd is working . They will be next .

With all of the upheaval in our world right now , you hear a lot about what we can ’ t do . Obviously , all of us have felt the impact of these unusual circumstances and we have adjusted as best we can .
One additional word of encour - agement : Even when there are “ can ’ t do that ” mandates , there are things that we “ should do ” and that we “ can do .” For example , each and every day at every hour of the day
1 . we can believe God , 2 . we can trust Him , 3 . we can be faithful , 4 . we can pray , 5 . we can give out the Gospel ,
