BRANDIE HAVELL Mark Murphy, DDS, FAGD As a clinician and lead faculty for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies, I resolve to do the following: 1. Help Dentists treat more patients with greater efficiency and effectiveness through education, product development, marketing and best in class service. 2. Achieve Diplomate Status with the AADSM. Already a qualified dentist, I am enrolled in the Mastery Program and plan to take my Board exam in May 2019. 3. Fix PDAC requirements for Medicare device selection. The current system requirements are outdated and arbitrary. ProSomnus has met with and is working to broaden and update PDAC. 4. Nurture new dentists who want to treat DSM patients. Writing, lecturing, mentoring and other supportive activities will help increase the number of dentists treating OSA with OAT. This is an epidemic that dentistry is at the forefront of, and we should lead. 5. Triple the number of patients I treated last year in my practice. My new work/life balance formula has me flying less and in the practice more. I plan to strengthen relationships with local referring physicians and market directly to consumers in my area. I currently work out of two offices and will add a third in the first quarter. John Tucker, DMD Have you set your goals for 2019? 2018 was a phenomenal year for my Dental Sleep Medicine practice. I have set a goal to increase my Dental Sleep Medicine practice by 20% for 2019. Many of you reading this must be saying that is absurd! I quote MC Escher, “Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible”. 1. My first step to accomplish this goal is to ensure that every team member is onboard with a unified message. I have three new team members that need to be properly educated in Dental Sleep Medicine and understand our unified message. I will accomplish this by having them complete the OSA University online training program. 2. The second step is to do more direct to consumer marketing. I am finalizing our “Refer a Friend or Family member” program. This consists of a 3 x 5 card with our practice information and a place to have the referring patients name as well as the new patients name. When a new patient presents this card, the referring patient will receive a $25.00 Amazon gift card. 3. Step three is my attitude and leadership ability. My long-term goals are merely the result of short-term habits that I need to do by improving 1% every day. It’s your life! Own it… no one else will!
