This year, The Children's Lunchbox received $173,000 from Kaladi's New Year's Day of Giving tradition.

The Children’s Lunchbox will use the money raised to help complete the construction of a new 4,000- square-foot operating facility. The new facility will add significant capacity over its current 300-square- foot kitchen. “This will allow the Children’s Lunchbox to serve more kids in the community, be more efficient, and strengthen its program,” said Lisa Sauder, executive director of Bean’s Café and Children’s Lunchbox.

On New Year’s Day, at each participating Kaladi Brothers coffee shop, lines were 15 to 30 people long just waiting to buy coffee. On a day where business traffic at most retailers were staggering or even null because they were closed, Kaladi was bustling with coffee drinkers ready to raise their cups to a longstanding tradition – coffee for a cause. --
