So for now, start considering a normal winter approach to fishing. When the water is
warming, fish shallow; and when the water is
cooling, look for deeper channels.
Recommendations
Fish hard until the river rises. Finding fish afterward may be tough. Make as many trips out
as you can. Hope we don’t see more rain for a
while, especially north of the state.
Watch water temperatures as well as salinities
once the river starts to rise. Both will have an impact. Start scouting areas where a high river has
the least influence.
