Janfam Issue 1 - Believe in Inspiration | Page 41

I'm part of that era that ran home to catch the new music video, who traced her face on paper at school from the latest magazines, that plastered my walls with posters and pictures, that knew all the choreography, knew every remix version to the latest single, etc. We don't play! I never compared my love to any other fan because as long as you’re a fan and are loyal then we are united and we go hard for Mutha!

The first time I met Janet (during Damita Jo) I was so nervous! I managed to tell her how long I had been a fan and that I loved her! The security guard had handed me my album and I didn't even know it! Janet is so kind and so giving! I've met her so many times, received hugs and kisses on the cheek (on 106 and Park she was walking to the stage and I held my hands out and asked for a hug and she came back and hugged me and kissed me on the cheek! I'll never forget it).

My motivation has shifted. My dream is to direct one of her music videos. I've told her plenty of times in person but it is something that I strive for. To even have Jimmy Jam review an article I've written when Rhythm Nation turned 25 and say that my article was a great article to read in reference to the album was an amazing highlight! Janet's work ethic always inspires me! Her lyrics, different styles, messages, etc. all inspire me! One day I will direct one of her music videos but in the meantime I look forward to sharing my love of her music and countless stories with all of you!!! JANET 4 LIFE!!!

A good heart

by Felicia D. Myvernacular Mallory

I have been a fan of Janet's since I saw her on the Carol Burnett Show in 1975. Good people know good people when they see them. Janet has inspired me to be strong but meek, walk softly and carry a big stick type of thing. Janet had from what I saw a good heart and that's how she has inspired me. Good people know good people when they see them. She inspired me to never compromise my morals and learn to enforce control in my life....
