4.What is one of your favourite Janet cartoons that you have created?

I'm probably most proud of a concept I did that was actually considered for the Velvet Rope album art. At the time, I was still a bit too young and green to complete the image the way I really envisioned it in my head so it never moved forward.

The original sketch has quite a history too! I was 19 years old, out on my own and working a number of jobs during this time. Arriving home late one night, I was exhausted and accidentally left my work bag in my car. Unfortunately, the next day my car window was smashed and my bag was gone! Days later, the sketches from my bag were recovered in a parking lot in another town. Oddly enough, it just so happens that the parking lot was for the office where the parents of one of my high school students worked and I was able to get my drawings back! A little wrinkled and torn, but mostly intact.

Looking back, I'm really glad Janet and Rene decided on another direction because they created a masterpiece. It was really an honour just to be considered, I know Janet only works with the best of the best.

Years later, after my hand injury, I went back to finish the piece the way I had always wanted with the help of my computer. That piece has a lot of meaning to me, so I'd have to say that's my favorite - it has such a crazy history!

6. How can the Janfam view your work?

My facebook account is private, but I'm active in many of the fan groups. I also share new toons on twitter. You can find me at @aimeetoons. You can also find an archive of all the older, classic Janetoons here:

5. What will be your next set of Janet cartoons?

My professional work keeps me pretty busy these days, but I did get to do a few pieces from the "Unbreakable" project. I look forward to seeing what song, video, or idea comes out next so that I can be inspired to create a new piece! Maybe a baby toon? :-)
