First of all thank you so much for on being JAMO. So, Karan tell us how does it feel to be part of “Pacific Rim Uprising”?

Honestly, it is really exciting! I haven’t done a film in a little while, let alone something of this scale, so this has been a new but fun experience for me.

Tell us about your character in Pacific Rim Uprising?

Suresh is one of the youngest cadets in the Jaeger Program and is on this constant mission to prove himself as a legitimate pilot while also trying to keep up with the rest of the group. There are a group of us being trained by Jake Petecost (John Boyega) and Nate Lambert (Scott Eastwood) and they end up calling on us for some help.

Your shows have been in comedy genre but this movie is completely a different project from your previous work, what brought you to this project?

Like you mentioned I have mostly only done comedy in the past so when I was told I got the part I was more than happy to take it since I had been wanting to go a different direction with my career. Though I really like comedy but I am ready to start stepping into more dramatic parts too.

We have heard that you had a monitored diet, have you ever been on a diet for your roles before?

No never before! This was a first for me and took a second to get used to, but in the end it wasn’t so bad and definitely helped me perform my best in the end.

What do you like about your character Suresh and do you have anything in common with your character?

noticed early on that Suresh and I are both constantly trying to prove ourselves, but what makes this character special to me is his resilience.

How did you prepare yourself for the role?

Along with doing my own homework for the role we also had two weeks of pre-production for a table read and rehearsals where we were able to pick our director’s brain about the characters. We also had to work with trainers because though it may not look like it, there was a lot of physical activity involved with filming these characters.
