Shannon First of all tell us about your upcoming movie Wish Upon?

Wish Upon is a supernatural, psychological thriller about a young girl named Claire who finds a magic box that grants her seven wishes, but for a terrible price. It comes out on July 14th and I'm excited for you to see it!

What is your role in wish upon and how much it relates to you?

I play June Acosta who is one of Claire's best friends. June is very motherly and empathetic and really cares about her friends. I think I'm similar to her in a lot of ways. I'm also a very empathetic person and I try to give people second chances and lend

a listening ear when they need it.

What was the best moment throughout the making of Wish Upon?

That's a really hard question to answer! It's such a dark movie, but we all had so much fun making it! I really loved goofing around with Sydney (Meredith) and Joey (Claire) on set.

What did you learn from your role in Stranger Things as Barb?

I learned so much from my time on Stranger Things. It was my first professional acting job and it was amazing and overwhelming in all the best ways. But I think the most important thing for me was learning to be more confident in my abilities and what I can offer as an actress. I struggled a lot with insecurity but through Barb I realized that acting was really what I was meant to do.

What was your response when you saw people were admiring your work?

Honestly I was shocked to see the response to Barb. I had the most incredible experience playing her and I feel so lucky to have even had the opportunity. I certainly was not expecting anyone to take such notice of me, so when fans starting demanding justice for Barb and graciously complimenting my work, I was so moved. I still am.

Shannon lets talk about your style, we have seen you mostly in vintage looks. What is your favorite style to carry?

I actually adore vintage style, whether that be 50's pin-up, or 80's punk. I really love fashion and experimenting with different looks. Ultimately, though, I think I tend to gravitate toward a more edgy aesthetic.
