now. The mystery of not knowing how big of a record you’re going to create each day is probably one of the most exciting part. You set your own limits and have endless possi- bilities. MG: Tell us about a time where you guys had difficulty creating a song. What was the song and why was it challenging? Xuitcasecity: We rarely have a case where we just can’t finish a song. If we do then normally we just sit down and think if the song is even worth stressing out over to finish, and if it is then we leave it alone for a little and come back to it. That’s the beauty in creating music – that there’s no rush... you can take as long as you need. That’s also the curse. Some people have a million ideas started but rarely finish any- thing, we’re quite disciplined when it comes to our songs and always try to finish them. MG: Of all the songs on your new EP, which is your favorite and why? Xuitcasecity: Unlikely. It let us ex- press a view on a relationship in which not everyone might get to experience. Not everyone will have men or women trying to become close to them simply because of their wealth. This song is explaining how a woman is trying to be with a man for his money and he’s telling her not to waste her time and that he’s going to do what he wants. It’s simple..just don’t be a gold digger. MG: Of all the songs you have per- formed in the past, which is your favorite and why? Xuitcasecity: Our favorite song to perform is Die Young. The key, the vibe, the energy... everything about the song is perfect for a perfor- mance. It’s not too over the top but just enough to where the crowd is heavily involved and enjoys every moment. MG: Who is your favorite musician, and why? Mike: I don’t have a specific mu- sician that I’ve always looked up to but I do have an artist. Justin Timberlake. I think he’s iconic. He always carries himself in such a manner that it’s hard not to love him. He’s insanely talented and not only works in music but other industries as well. I can say with confidence that if I had to choose one artist to pick as a role model, it would be Justin. ISSUE 49 - 2019 January
