Constitution Day 2017
On September 16, Montpelier celebrated Constitution Day. We’re thrilled to report that 1,571 visitors
attended—a 21 percent increase over 2016! On top of free open house and grounds tours, there were
hands-on history activities like colonial games, making turbans and tricorner hats, writing letters using
quills and ink, brickmaking, and wagon rides. Many thanks to Barbeque Exchange, Devil’s Backbone
Brewing Company, and Castle Hill Cider for offering food and beverages, and Pickin’ Daisies, Apple
Butter Soul, and Pretty Little Miss for the live music!
