PLAYS – WHAT IS A PLAY?
A play is basically a specific tactic to move the ball upfield.
Each play will involve certain players moving in certain directions
and making certain runs in order to give the quarterback one
or more options. NFL teams will learn multiple plays and use a
playbook to learn the plays ahead of the games.
