• Line of Scrimmage: When teams line-up to face each
other at the start of each down, this is called the ‘line
of scrimmage’. In JagTag, players should face-up on the
imaginary line one pace apart. The line of scrimmage is
always down the middle of the field of play but will
move up and down the field depending on where the
next down is required to restart.
• Quarterback: Each team needs to select a quarterback.
This is the player who starts with the ball and has to throw
the ball to one of their players without crossing the line
of scrimmage. At the line of scrimmage, the Quarterback
should be in line with the middle of the field of play (but
the line of scrimmage will move up and down the field
depending on where the next down is required to start).
