NATIONAL ANTHEM
The Star Spangled Banner will be performed
by Akia Uwanda, a singer, actress, model,
and TV/music producer from Jacksonville,
Florida. From being featured with the gospel
jazz group, NOIZ, at the international launch
of Davines Hair and Beauty Company in
Parma, Italy to opening for Earth Wind &
Fire along with C1 Jazz at the 2009 Black
Expo Opening Concert, she has humbly
wowed crowds with her melodic, sultry voice
that ranges from first soprano to tenor.
WE ARE JAGUARS!
We are expanding our newest game day
tradition to every home game this season
with the use of the “WE ARE JAGUARS”
crowd banners in the North End Zone for
every home game. Fans in sections 122-124
should be sure to be in your seats by 12:45
p.m. for each 1:00 p.m. game to cheer the
team onto the field.
HALFTIME
In celebration of the NFL’s Play Football
Month, we will have over 15 local high
school quarterback and wide-receiver duos
compete in a “Deep Ball Challenge.” Each
school will have one chance to complete
the longest pass they can with the longest
completion winning.
Akia has starred in several lead roles at
the local Alhambra Dinner Theatre. She
sings a variety of music genres such as
Jazz, Soul, R&B, Gospel and Classical. In
the Southeastern region of the USA, she
performs regularly for several weddings,
corporate events, private affairs and charity
events.
On hand to interpret the national anthem for
the hearing impaired are students from the
Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.
Today’s colors will be presented by Holmes
High School JROTC.
To celebrate Play Football month, the field
flags will be held by high school football
players from the Jacksonville area.
TICKET OFFICE
The game day ticket office located between
Gates 2 and 3 in the North end zone will
open at 4:30 p.m. on game day.
