today by “Funky” Leroy Harper, Jr. “Funky”
has played with a number of artists and
bands that include James Brown, Stevie
Wonder, Stacy Lattasaw, Millie Jackson,
Nappy Brown, James Levi (Herbie HancockHeadhunters), Sylk (founder), Spur of the
Moment (founder), Exit Enterprises, Soul
Power Posse (founder), and many other allstar bands.
He has made guest appearances on the
following TV shows: Late Night with David
Letterman, Tonight Show with Johnny
Carson, Arsenio Hall Show, LA Live BET,
Fox Morning Show, Vicki Lawrence Show,
American Music Awards, Woodstock ’99,
Roseanne Barr Show, James Brown Live at
the House of Blues, BET Awards, Live 8,
Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill.

National Guard has been in Jacksonville
for 68 years and consists of nearly 2,000
Airmen who are also valued members of our
community. Flying the jets today will be
Florida Air National Guard citizen-airmen, Lt
Col Randy Reep and Maj Shelby Robb.
