offense is normally near-perfect. Rodgers also
has a history of taking advantage of mistakes
by the defense: a deep ball on an obvious
offsides penalty, a check at the line on a
false step by a defender, a quick snap to take
advantage of a defensive substitution.
“We have to be completely squared away and
fundamentally sound,” Posluszny said. “That’s
how you have success against those guys
(elite quarterbacks). If we make mistakes,
make mental mistakes, those guys are such
elite players, they’re able to take advantage
of that.

Today, a number of players are expected to
make their Jaguars regular-season debut on
the defensive side of the ball, including free
agent signings defensive tackle Malik Jackson,
free safety Tashaun Gipson and cornerback
Prince Amukamara. 2015 first-round draft pick
defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. is expected to
make his debut today after missing his rookie
season with a knee injury. In addition, 2016
draft picks including cornerback Jalen Ramsey,
linebacker Myles Jack, defensive end Yannick
Ngakoue and defensive tackle Sheldon Day
are expected to make an impact early in their
rookie seasons.
With the Packers poised for another playoff run
in 2016, and the expectations in Jacksonville
sky high for 2016, the Jaguars have plenty to
prove this afternoon to come away with their
first win in a season-opening game since 2011.
