Jaguars HabiJax Service Day and Habitat for Humanity Clay Jacksonville The Jaguars Foundation and EverBank come together every year to sponsor a HabiJax home for a family in need. This year the Jaguars organization hosted an Employee Service Day, where the employees prepared the home. FOUNDATION One Love Foundation Ed Block Courage Award One Love Foundation was founded to honor the memory of Yeardley Love, a college senior who was beaten to death by her ex-boyfriend just weeks short of graduation. One Love’s mission is to raise awareness about the warning signs of abuse and activate communities to work to change the statistics around relationship violence. Through their Escalation Workshops, they reach out to students and faculty at high schools and colleges across the country, who all come together to promote this movement across their community. The Jaguars are taking a leading role on behalf of the NFL to pilot a program that ensures every local college, university and high school has access to the workshops. The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation selected Neighbor To Family as the Jaguars/Ed Block Courage House Award recipient. Neighbor to Family had revolutionized foster care and focuses on keeping sibling groups together. During the luncheon Jaguars defensive tackle, Roy Miller and former Jaguars player, Richard Collier made a special appearance to visit with Neighbor To Family’s foster children and their families.
