5. The Simpsons

In at 5 are The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes. They release a Halloween special every year, and are usually a parody of a horror film. But boy, are they funny. Everyone's favourite seems to be number 5, which is a parody of The Shining. They’re good fun for your whole family to watch at Halloween; even if your kids won’t get all of the film references.

There is a Treehouse of Horror DVD collection, which is quite old, and you can find it for a reasonable price, so I fully recommend owning it; it’s a good addition to any DVD collection.

4. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

In at 4 is the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "Hush". This is a seriously creepy episode in a show that’s not too scary really, I mean come on, just look at those faces!

The premise of this episode, is that these creatures steal people’s hearts and voices so they cannot scream anymore. Creepy.

Buffy The Vampire slayer is available on Netflix, so it’s well worth a watch. Even if you’ve never seen the show before, it’s a good stand-alone episode.
