AN INTRODUCTION
I
f you had asked me 4+ years ago today that I would be submitting my
my photos for a publication, I would have laughed. I had never taken a picture in my life until I went to Thailand for a month and I promised everyone I would take pictures. I had been traveling extensively and never took shots. Figured I’d seen it, so it was good enough. With much deliberation, I bought a Canon XSi or Canon 400 D for those of you outside North America. My friend gave me a couple of lenses and I bought a 50mm to go with the package. It was a downward spiral from there.
I no longer have the Canon camera. In fact, I have been through so
many cameras; I can pick up any brand and be comfortable with it. I have taken somewhere in the estimate of around 500,000 shots. I started a photography business. I have shot events, concerts, portraits and everything in-between. It’s been a learning experience and I haven't stopped shooting. When I travel now, it’s not what do I pack for clothes, its, I hope all my lenses fit in the bag and how many camera bodies should I take.
