Sarah breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn't something like blowing someone's brains out; that would have been a step too far.

This time a video popped up. A sweet looking, white haired old lady was smiling at the camera.

"We just need to give you a vitamin boost, Mrs Williams," Special Agent Lancaster was saying as she walked into shot dressed as a nurse. "We can't have you popping off on us again now can we?"

Mrs Williams agreed with another smile, although Sarah could tell she was already looking grey around the eyes and mouth. It was obvious deterioration had already set in. It was that thought that made her realise she was totally accepting this whole explanation.

Sarah watched the screen as Special Agent Lancaster gave the old lady an injection and fluffed her pillows for her. Mrs Williams smiled again then her eyes rolled into the back of her head, she convulsed in a very unsettling way several times and lay still.

"As you can see, Mrs Williams passed as humanely as possible," Special Agent Lancaster said. "In contrast this is footage of a subject who went undetected for nine weeks."

There was nothing peaceful about the next part of the presentation. What flashed up on the screen looked barely human. She, Sarah guessed it had been a woman, was missing skin from her face, leaving it red and raw and she was snarling and trying to get to people outside what looked like a cage. Special Agent Lancaster was in the shot again, this time dressed all in black, with a dart on a poll. Two other agents were distracting the zombie while she walked up to the side of the mesh cage with a small flap in it. The agent opened it, pushed the poll through and stabbed the zombie with it.

The zombie howled; there was no other word for it. Then the woman began to convulse violently, oozing green and yellow puss from various orifices and where she was missing skin. It was at least a minute before she stopped moving and as the footage finally ended, Sarah realised she was holding her breath.
