When not assisting the VetPD Course VetPD Course Administrator and Lead- Speaker during the course you and all student volunteers will be able to sit into the l ectures and you will be able to observe the practical sessions. If needed and possible, arrive at the clinic the day before the course starts in order to prepare animals and specimens for the practical sessions. This will help in maxi mizing lecture attendance during the course. Running order of a typical day at a VetPD course where you will supervise the student volunteers: The group of 4 – 6 vet students arrive at the clinic at 7:30 on the 1 st day of the course and they will be briefed by the VetPD Course Administrator on their responsibilities. General student duties include: • Preparation and set up of coffee breaks & lunches • Assist with the course registration • Ask arriving attendees of their lunch choices • Advise attendees on where to park • Show attendees to the lecture room • Clip animals & cadaver specimens for the practical sessions • Holding, leading & lunging horses during the practical sessions • Assist the instructors/speakers • Tidy up the wetlab facilities and lecture room at the end of each day
