VetPD Student Ambassador – Job Description
VetPD is a veterinary continuing education provider ( www . vetpd . com ) that organises practic al 1- and 2-day courses for veterinarians worldwide with a focus on Europe and North Americ a . We are looking for a student representative at your university who is 2 – 3 years away fro m graduating . The successful candidate needs to be experienced in handling horses , be relia ble , efficient , flexible and show initiative in supporting the VetPD courses held at a private cli nic near your university .

Job Responsibilities :
• Introduce VetPD to all vet students at your vet school , explaining that you are the new VetPD Student Ambassador and what VetPD courses are all about ( e-mail te mplate provided ).
• Assemble a database of all students who would like to receive VetPD course ann ouncements and indicate if their interest lies in equine , small animals , farm ani mals or avian / exotics ( more than 1 allowed ). Liaise with the Equine Club and ot her species-specific clubs at your vet school .
• Forward VetPD course announcement e-mails for the 2 courses per year held at the clinic closest to your vet school to fellow students from all years and to faculty . This should ideally be done 4 months , 9 weeks & 5 weeks before the course .
• Announce VetPD courses on message / bulletin boards at the vet school and post on social media groups .
• Encourage vet students to attend VetPD courses worldwide at an 80 % discount . ‘ Lec tures Only ’ spaces are available to vet students on all VetPD courses worldwide . If t he wetlabs are not fully booked with vets , student wetlab spaces will also be made a vailable to students but on a first-come-first-served basis 1-2 weeks prior to the cou rse .
• Two months prior to each of the two course at the clinic nearest your university ( Spri ng and Autumn / Fall , on a Fri-Sat ), assemble a group of 4 – 6 student volunteers who will assist the speakers / instructors during the course . You will act as their team
