OIE Junior Ambassador Project OIE/IVSA Concept note OIE Junior Ambassador: terms of reference / Duties and tasks OIE Junior Ambassadors contribute to raise awareness on OIE roles and missions, as well as on OIE specific events and communication campaigns, in the course of the year, by cascading OIE communications. Several central projects will be determined, initially for the first academic year (September 2017- June 2018) and then for the other years. In this framework, the OIE will provide the IVSA with dedicated communication tools and support for the dissemination of its key messages and campaigns. Duties and Tasks • • • • • • • • Keep knowledge on current global animal health issues up-to date. Contribute to raise awareness on the OIE and its activities. Disseminate OIE key messages within their universities. Relay OIE key messages on social media. Organise specific events to raise awareness on OIE Communication campaigns among their universities. Give feedback on their school activities. Strengthen the link between other veterinary students and the OIE. Lead specific actions and enhance the visibility of their universities at global level, thanks to the OIE Junior Ambassador project. Key dates 2017-2018 • • • • World Antibiotic Awareness Week: 13-19 November 2017. World Veterinary Day: 28 April 2018. OIE Photo Competition: Beginning of 2018 (more details on the dates to come by the end of 2017). OIE rinderpest vigilance global game (April 2018). Key OIE Communication campaigns 2017-2018 • • • Rinderpest post-eradication ‘Never turn back’.
