The IVSA Scholarship Grant You have the chance to win one of the FIVE 1000Euro scholarships to fund your internship (an internship has to be a veterinary placement which is approved by your veterinary faculty) Nomination criteria: • one motivation letter • two recommendation letters from your faculty teaching staff • one draft budget • Application form (found on the website and on the IVSA DAD page: https://goo.gl/forms/0FRjXhiVwfuj1lK52) Deadline for the application • We will start the application period on 1st of November 2017 and we will keep the application open until the 1st of January 2018, 20:00 GMT+2 • Any emails sent after this date will not be taken into consideration. • Please send the motivation and recommendation letters together with the draft budget in one email to [email protected] IVSA Scholarship Grant rules -Every veterinary student who is a member of IVSA can apply for it- -As long as the experience is a minimum of four (4) weeks in total, you can combine the internship with an IVSA event (congress or symposium).- -You have nine (9) months from when you have received your confirmation email to have completed your internship.- -You have to organize your own project, but the Member Organization Director (MOD) can help you by putting you in contact with Exchange Officers (EOs) of Member Organizations (MOs). Although, ultimately it is down to you to organize your own project. In the future, we hope to have more volunteer projects and university internships online.- -The most important thing is your motivation and educational value of the experience. Please do not think because you are from a high GDP country you are less likely to be chosen.- -It will make your application stronger if you have an idea of what you propose to do with the money and where you would like to go before you apply for the scholarship.- -The money has to be used for educational purposes and essential expenses such as food, transport and accommodation You are not allowed to spend the money for touristic attractions, these should be for your own expenses.- -The report that has to be written after the internship should be around two (2) A4 pages (examples can be found on www.ivsa.org). Please include information on your experience such as why you were there, cases that you saw, lectures you attended and importantly what you have learnt.- -You will need to submit your written report and financial report with receipts (examples of layout can be found at www.ivsa.org). After this has been submitted, you will be reimbursed up to the maximum amount of money you were granted.- -When you are writing your budget, make sure you put the currency into Euro (€).- -Should you be unsuccessful in being awarded the scholarship, you can apply again next year.- -Dependent on the IVSA budget, there will be tried to award the scholarships every year.- Please share this scholarship information with every IVSA member you know!
