Scopism and itSMF New Zealand announce partnership to offer eConsultancy services to members
Scopism and itSMF New Zealand , a membership organisation , have agreed a partnership to deliver additional benefit to itSMF New Zealand members through access to virtual consultancy services .
IT management practices are changing rapidly , and itSMF New Zealand already provides support to its members through free access to local events , an annual conference , regular communication updates and discounts on training and publications .
The addition of eConsultancy as a new member benefit will give organisations access to the very latest service management knowledge , tailored to their own objectives .
Claire Agutter , director at Scopism , says about the partnership “ our eConsultancy services provide organisations with access to leaders in the IT management field , wherever the client is located . We ’ re delighted to work with itSMF New Zealand to support their members and look forward to helping New Zealand organisations take their service management to the next level ”.
Clive Keylard , president of itSMF New Zealand says “ this is a new initiative for itSMFnz and our members which offers them consultancy services in the Service Management and related areas . We are delighted to partner with Scopism on this offering which will provide benefits to our members in improving service management within their organisation .”
In addition to the new member benefit , discounted access to eConsultants is also available to existing itSMF members . The Scopism eConsultants are experts in a wide range of IT management practices , including ITIL , COBIT , DevOps , sourcing , process improvement , organisational change , strategy , governance and operational management .

14 itSMFI Forum Focus — December 2016 itSMF NZ President ' s Update
To all of our members who have been affected by the recent quakes , our thoughts are with you and your families . Kia Kaha whanau .
Christmas is not that far away ; it ' s hard to believe how fast the year has gone . We hope our members have a relaxing Christmas break .
It ’ s been a busy time for the committee with working on member benefits for 2017 and we have already started planning for the 2017 conference , we look forward to seeing you all there . There ' s more information further down this newsletter .
Following on from the deep collaboration between tech bodies to create ITx Conference , New Zealand ' s largest collaborative tech conference , the leading tech industry bodies have formed the Tech Leaders Forum to explore further ways of collaborating and working together for the sector . IITP hosted the inaugural forum in November , with a commitment from participant organisations to meet regularly and advance a number of joint initiatives and activities . The Chair of the forum will rotate as will the location . I was the Chair for this meeting in November .
CEs or Chairs from IITP , NZTech , NZRise , TUANZ , InternetNZ , the IT Service Management Forum , Health Informatics NZ , NZ Open Source Society , Canterbury Tech , Test Professionals Network , Project Management Institute and the NZ Software Association are part of the initiative and you will see regular updates via our social media channels to keep you updated on updates .
One major piece of work is a joint election manifesto , outlining a small number of key changes our industry believes the Government , whichever colour , needs to make to foster innovation , better prepare New Zealand for the increasingly digital future , and improve government ' s approach to technology . These ideas will be tested with our respective memberships in due course .
Changes within itSMFnz We would like to thank Nicole Leonard who recently resigned as our Northern Branch Chair ; all the best for the future . In 2017 , branch events in Auckland and Hamilton will kick off with our new branch Chair . Elections Results We are pleased to announce the following members were successful in these roles and take office at the next AGM , they will be in these roles in the interim .
