You can even expand your music library by choosing the program(s) best suited for your dog. iCalmDog has teamed up with world renowned positive-reinforcement trainer Victoria Stilwell to create training protocols for aggression, fireworks, and city sounds.
Research shows that dogs, like humans, can be entrained. This means that the heart rate, brainwaves, and breath can be influenced by external rhythms. Slow and simple piano music seems to produce the most consistent results for a calming effect.
Overstimulation, as in overly complex or volume in sound, is an issue for both human + canine. As dogs are so much more sensitive to sound than humans, the sonic landscape is an even more important factor in their well-being.
